The Y is a non-profit charitable organization that strengthens the foundations of our community. OTHER CAMP INFO: Camp Chippewa, located in West Grove at the Jennersville YMCA provides campers from preschool age through 6th grade with a summer they'll never forget. Campers have an opportunity to make friends and participate in a variety of camp activities including: arts & crafts, sports, free swim, field games, community service and weekly themed activities.

Camp Chippewa runs for 14 weeks from May 30 through September 2 and registration for camp is done by the week to allow families flexibility to select camp weeks that work for them. Camp Chippewa also offers a variety of specialty camps including: aquatics, dance, theatre and junior lifeguarding. Camp runs from 9 AM - 4 PM each day, aftercare is included in the price of camp. CAMP FACILITIES: We have a modern dorm and two modern longhouse facilities, as well as two more rustic dorms. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Mahaffey Camp offers a variety of programs, from summer youth camps and family camp to year-long retreats and events. Our staff is a dedicated group of people who are passionate about serving campers of all ages and leading them to a vibrant experience with God. Our mission is "to reach others with the Gospel and teach them about the Lord." Mahaffey Camp aims to be "A Christian Center for Spiritual Growth." Mahaffey Camp is a member of the Christian Camp and Conference Association.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Those who wish to be considered as Counselors or Jr. Counselors should contact the camp office promptly, as available positions fill up quickly. Counselors and Jr. Counselors are required to attend a mandatory Counselor Training weekend, held at the end of May or beginning of June. Teen Counselors and Jr. Counselors are expected to attend a youth camp of their own age group.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: For scholarship assistance, please contact the camp office. We have a scholarship fund that is used to help sponsor campers who are experiencing financial hardship and need assistance to be able to attend camp.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Mahaffey Family Camp takes place during the last full week of July every year; in 2018, the dates are July 20 through 29. Events and services are offered for all age groups throughout the 10 days. Special events include a 5k race, Motorcycle Rally, Missionary Rally, Women's Day, Children's Penny Parade, Baptismal Service, and Gospel Concert. The camp store and Dining Hall are open for meals every day, and the craft store (selling merchandise and handmade crafts to benefit camp) is open daily. Dorm Accommodations are available, as well as RV and tent sites. Different types of services are offered, including Adult morning and evening services, prayer and healing services, Teen morning and evening services, Children's ministries, and Fresh Breeze afternoon service.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Youth Camps are held in the summer, while many retreats are held throughout the rest of the year. Mahaffey offers a variety of different retreats and events, including Applefest, Quilt Retreats, Scrapbook Retreats, Men's Link, Prayer Retreat, Mother / Daughter Retreat, REPLENISH (youth winter retreat), and private horsemanship lessons. At Skyhawks we go the extra mile to focus on safety, and we have a long-standing proven safety track record and processes to prove it. For example, all Skyhawks Sports camps start and end with our unique safety process called "Gate System and Parking Lot Duty." This process is where coaches come and greet both parents and campers in the parking lot when parents pull up to drop off their children.

Our staff guide the kids onto the field/court and out of harm's way by funneling them into our gate system. Eye contact is maintained from each one of our staff members until the kids make it onto the field/court where they are grouped by age. This efficient process ensures safety. Additionally, it develops a level of trust between parent, coach, and child that ultimately leads to a fun and skill-focused camp for youth.

CAMP FACILITIES: Mt. Gilead has 16 buildings available for overnight lodging. Ranging from full sized lodges to small 8 person cabins, options are available for any sized group. Whether it’s a family ski weekend at Camelback Ski Mountain, group retreat or a staff getaway; we keep our rental prices affordable so everyone can afford a visit to the Poconos.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Mt. Gilead offers an atmosphere of relaxed fun and fellowship and the opportunity to experience God right in the middle of his creation without the distractions of technology and everyday life.

Campers are grouped in divisions according to their completed grade. Girls spend time interacting with their cabin group, divisional group, and the entire camp population at different times throughout the week.
Adventurers are completing grades 2 through 4.

Searchers are completing grades 5 and 6.

Observers are completing grades 7 and 8

Conquerors have completed grades 9 through 11.

A week at Mt. Gilead starts on Sunday and ends on Saturday, for campers staying more than 1 week, we offer the option of a stay over program. This program allows campers to stay at camp over the weekend where they will be cared for by our weekend staff. Parents are welcome to visit during this time and can take their camper out of camp for several hours (to eat, do laundry, etc.).

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Young ladies in 9th, 10th, or 11th grade are eligible to enroll in CILT I. During the school year, CILTs are working on requirements, reading books, developing a resource file, and preparing for the busy summer ahead. Once CILTs arrive at camp, they will prepare to embark on a trip that will change their lives forever. CILTs, their instructor, and other qualified personnel will leave for a week long outdoor living experience, typically backpacking and/or canoeing.

CILTs will experience first hand God’s awesome creation and learn important lessons in teamwork and communication. Once the CILTs return to camp their second week of training consists of working with a cabin, leading activities, songfests, service hours, Bible study and CILT class.

CILT II
There is no break! (Who wants one anyway?!) The CILTs are anxious to continue their training and get started on their second year requirements.

CILT II begins as soon as CILT I ends. CILTs are given their second year books to read, their extensive list of requirements, and with their new network of fellow CILTs, instructor and their mentor, they are ready to begin. One of the most unique features of our CILT II program is the use of a mentor. Each CILT chooses a mentor. Someone who will pray with them, guide, encourage, challenge and keep the CILT accountable throughout the year. The mentor and CILT will share thoughts and ideas on Bible Study methods by Rick Warren. Then the summer begins with three weeks of training.

CILT II participants are required to attend our staff training week, otherwise known as Pre-Camp. During this week, CILTs will have the opportunity to see the workings behind camp, as friendships develop, activities are planned, staff is trained and duties are assigned. They will also have the opportunity to earn certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid, and AED. The second week of CILT is filled with training in their areas of specialty, Bible study, CILT classes, and camp service hours. Finally, the third week of training arrives when CILTs get to put all their knowledge into practice when they live-in with a cabin for a full week under the supervision of another counselor. Upon successful completion of all the requirements CILTs will have a graduation ceremony and are welcomed onto our staff!

It is United Methodist affiliated, and open to all Christian denominations. Lodging ranges from luxury private rooms to family-style lodges and cozy cabins, with delicious meals for up to 350-400 guests. The Inn and Lodge have kitchens, lounges, fireplaces. Cabins have lounge/common area and 16-24 beds, mini-fridge and coffeepot/or full kitchen.

Outdoor sports facilities include basketball, volleyball, sand volleyball, baseball/softball, tennis, swimming pool, soccer, archery, shuffleboard, mountainboarding, & an 18 hole disc golf course. In addition, the state operated an Orphan School on the property after the Civil War. The beautiful campus, 19th century stone buildings, and flagstone walkways reflect the rich past of this mountaintop, and yet still offer exceptional lodging, comfort and modern conveniences. HCA’s Adventurers’ Camp kicks into high gear on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons! Each week a special project will expose our campers to a new skill and expand their horizons. One week they might be cooking for the homeless, the next week they might be learning Carpentry 101! No matter what, our goal is to make sure that they have fun.

Camp SAY was established with one goal in mind – to provide children who stutter with a highly immersive and accepting summer camp experience that builds self-confidence and helps children develop the vital communication skills they need to fully express themselves without fear, bullying or ridicule.

Complementing our wide range of exciting traditional camp activities, Camp SAY provides each child with unique experiences that challenge them in a safe way, creating a strong sense of achievement and helping them confidently navigate the unique issues that children who stutter face in the everyday world.

STAFF
The staff is dedicated to creating a safe and accepting environment where every child can find their beautiful and unique voice. Approximately 80% of children return to camp. Parents and campers tell us it’s our staff and unique approach that consistently exceed expectations, making Camp SAY such a rewarding and transformative experience.

We provide an excellent Staff-to-Camper Ratio: With Camp’s leadership team, camp counselors, specialized activities staff and more, our staff-to-camper ratio is 1 staff member for every 2-3 campers. In addition, each bunk is staffed at night with at least 2 counselors for an average of 6-10 campers.

Counselors complete a comprehensive training program to support the social, emotional and physical needs of all our campers. Staff development includes leadership training and extensive information about stuttering, camper health and safety, camp philosophy, policies and procedures and much more. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: About the Owner of Soccer Development Schools...

Born and raised in England, Coach Tyler comes from a solid professional upbringing in soccer. He has worked and played with many successful clubs and coaches which has granted him invaluable experience that he hopes to pass on to young soccer players. Training and playing with professionals taught him the importance of preparation, nutrition, and a positive attitude. In addition to the technical side of the game, Coach Tyler feels these are all vital to educating aspiring players.

Coach Tyler played professionally for Cambridge, Stevenage and Rushden and Diamonds in England. He also played on his county and district team. In addition, he played and coached in the FA Cup. Most recently, Coach Tyler was a professional coach at English premier league team West Bromwich Albion FC and Football Development Schools before moving permanently to the USA in 2010. Since being in the USA, he has coached for various clubs and academies. Currently, Coach Tyler holds FA, USSF and AYSO certifications.

During the past 10 years, Coach Tyler has coached a range of ages (3 to 18 years old) and ability levels from beginner to advanced. He has been responsible for tactical/technical, physical, social and mental coaching as well as basic fundamentals of the game. In addition, Coach Tyler has developed curriculums for players and coaches for West Bromwich Albion FC, Football Development Schools and various American clubs. His endless energy, enthusiasm and patience make him an extremely successful coach to players of all ages.

Soccer Development Schools, LLC was founded in 2011 by Coach Luke. As a professional year-round coach, Coach Luke dedicates all of his time to coaching and expanding Soccer Development Schools, LLC. Soccer is his career and passion!

Our most exciting summer feature is our "Summer Select" program for the elite athlete looking to participate in twice weekly training by professional coaches as well as exciting weekend tournaments.

CAMP FACILITIES: Many of the facilities in our historic 110 year old camp have recently (10 years) been updated. They include a dining hall and kitchen, craft house, boat house, medical facility, and eight of the fourteen camper cabins. The oldest building in camp is our historic Lodge, used for shows and group gatherings. The 200 acre natural lake provides a beautiful and functional setting for all our aquatic activities. Camp also includes a climbing wall, tennis courts, a volleyball court, field, archery range, campcraft area, nature/ecology area, and a 500 acre preserved area used for hiking and mountain biking.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our aquatic program is extensive, taking advantage of our location on a beautiful, 200 acre, natural, mountain lake. Water skiing, swimming, canoeing, sailing, kayaking, water trampoline, and more occur on the lake. 80-90% of our staff, on average, are trained in Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR and First Aid. Our boat drivers are required to have a Pennsylvania boating safety license and are screened in our boats.

Older campers may take whitewater canoe trips on the Delaware River and/or a four-day lake canoeing trip to the Adirondacks. Other trips include hiking on the Appalachian Trail, Loyalsock Trail (World's End State Park), Rickett's Glen State Park, Hickory Run State Park, and local trips to the blueberry farm, mill pond, and a local camping spot.

A CIT day encompasses work experience, bunk activities including lunch and swimming, as well as sport and recreational periods. CAMP FACILITIES: Our 12 cabins and the retreat house, provide lodging for up to 150 people. We also have a beautiful dining hall, game room, outdoor pool, gym, high ropes course, 500 ft. zip line, low elements, 200 ft. waterslide, boating pond, hiking and biking trails, mountain boarding, soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball, arts and crafts, and archery. Rustic Camping is available. Campfires are held at 3 different amphitheater locations.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: For almost 50 years the Penn-York Camp Association (PYC) has provided a Natural Place to encounter Christ the whole year long. The vision of supporting the churches and communities of New York and Pennsylvania is accomplished through various ministries. Outreach includes summer kids camps, group retreats, challenge course, outdoor adventure and special events. PYC began with a dream and a committed core and over the years through hard work, determination and many miracles, the Lord has blessed us with an amazing facility.

We are looking for workers who are excited to share and live the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ with youth and children.  Counselors, maintainance, kitchen, health officer, and challenge course workers are in need. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Perkiomen School offers a wide array of playing fields and outdoor athletic facilities such as tennis and basketball courts. An indoor, competition size swimming pool, multiple gyms and top notch art facilities are just a few of the indoor highlights. When it's time for bed, campers will enjoy the comfort of their bedrooms which feature closets, dressers and desks. Bad weather is no problem at Camp Sequoia thanks to our amazing facilities. OTHER CAMP INFO: Camp Lenni Lenape, located in Kennett Square at the Kennett Area YMCA provides campers from ages 18 months through 8th grade with a summer they'll never forget. Campers have an opportunity to make friends and participate in a variety of camp activities including: arts & crafts, sports, free swim, field games, community service and weekly themed activities.

Camp CLenni Lenape runs for 11 weeks from June 13 through August 26 and registration for camp is done by the week to allow families flexibility to select camp weeks that work for them. Camp Lenni Lenape also offers aquatics and junior lifeguarding specialty camps. Camp runs from 9 AM - 4 PM each day, aftercare is included in the price of camp. YMCA Camp Soles is a traditional YMCA camp in the Laurel Highland Mountains of southwestern Pennsylvania. We offer high quality and affordable day, overnight, and family camp programs. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Being a CIT at YMCA Camp Soles gives you a unique training opportunity that will serve you well should you ever desire to return as a camp counselor, work in day care or after-school programs, or become a coach or mentor for younger kids. Our CIT program is specifically designed for teens who are interested in working with kids. We teach critical counseling skills, behavior management, and instruction techniques.

Being a CIT is about learning practical skills that you will hone at camp. For example, you will work with our staff as assistant instructors in the various program areas across Camp Soles. You will also be assigned a cabin to help with everything from running activities to working with homesick campers. Camp is after all about learning through positive relationships and our counselors are role models for our CITs as much as they are for campers.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: At the Y, no child or family is turned away due to inability to pay. That holds true at YMCA camps as well. Realizing that different families have different abilities to pay, we created a three tier pricing program. Based on an honor system, your family chooses which tier you can afford. Tier placement does not change any aspect of the experience your child will receive. It is a way to ensure that every child can access the same opportunities.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
YMCA Camp Soles is more than just a summer camp. We are a home to a lucky few, and home away from home for many more. Our staff members come from various local universities as well as out of state and as far as Australia and Europe. Working at camp can be life changing.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Camp fee includes 24-hour medical supervision, meals and snacks, American Diabetes Association Camp t-shirt, housing, supervised program activities and most diabetes supplies.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: CIT Program: A CIT candidate must submit an application with two personal references and a medical reference. Space is limited for this position.

The role of a CIT is to assist counselors while working with younger campers. The CIT Program provides training for youth interested in working with kids, specifically as camp counselors. Participants are expected to interact thoughtfully and compassionately with younger campers; to commit to learning more about themselves, camp, and camp procedures; to be team members and to take on responsibility and leadership. CITs also have the opportunity to learn a basic understanding of diabetes and its care.

The primary goal of the CIT Program is to offer a fun and supportive experience that will develop confidence, commitment, and community. The program focuses on helping youth become future leaders by developing communication, teamwork and leadership skills. CITs will leave ready to become camp counselors.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
ADA Camp Freedom offers a unique opportunity to teach and learn more about diabetes, diabetes management, and how kids cope diabetes. As a counselor, you will develop skill-building ventures by working as a team with campers-managing their diabetes, medical staff and other counselors in an outdoor recreational environment 24 hours a day.

We hold a comprehensive orientation, training, and supervision — that assists you in preparing for and delivering the best service possible to our campers. The experience our counselors have at Camp Freedom is truly meaningful work and the real chance to make a difference in the lives of kids with diabetes. CAMP FACILITIES: New country-styled cabins all have electricity and indoor bathroom facilities. There are 8 - 12 campers in each bunk supervised by 3-4 counselors. Located on a campus of nearly 175 acres, our facilities include: a new air conditioned alpine-styled dining room, a multi-purpose air conditioned indoor gymnasium and theatre, two baseball/ softball fields, eight tennis courts, two soccer fields, three basketball courts (lighted), a beach volleyball court, an extensive fine arts building that is air conditioned, computer lab with air conditioning, multi-stationed ropes/climbing wall course, horseback riding arena, lake, heated pool with dual water slides, hockey arena, circus and gymnastics pavilion, flying trapeze, skateboard park, and a Teepee village for overnight camp-outs.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: It’s all about choice. Your choice! TOTAL CHOICE! Lindenmere’s program is on the cutting edge of summer camping. Campers work with their counselors and specialty staff to select the activities they want and love. This makes each and every day challenging, unique

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Camp Lindenmere’s Leadership Training Program is carefully designed to teach participants both life and camp related skills. The LT’s will participate in all of the traditional Lindenmere camp activities, and will often experience many of these activities in a leadership role.

The program is fun, dynamic and creative while offering the LT’s more freedom and responsibility than other campers. The LT’s have the opportunity to participate in regular camp activities as well as experiential learning activities designed to teach life skills.

As the oldest campers, the LT’s are considered the foundation of the Lindenmere experience. Each participant is considered a valuable part of our community and is eligible to become our future staff and leaders.

OTHER CAMP INFO: How many people in each bunk?
Each bunk houses 8-12 campers with two to three counselors. The cabins are equipped with modern conveniences such as full bath facilities, including hot and cold running water, ample electrical outlets and storage space for clothing.

When do the campers pick their activities?
Majors are chosen before campers arrive at camp. The three minors are chosen at breakfast each morning and may vary from day to day.

Do campers ever get turned away from an activity they choose?
Never. A full time program director spends the day working with each child's schedule.

How many people in each activity?
Sometimes a child chooses a private lesson which is one-on-one with an instructor. Most activities have between eight to twelve children.

How does the laundry work?
Every camper's laundry is done with an outside service and is collected on Friday and returned to the campers on Sunday. The laundry for each cabin is kept together and the children sort their laundry with the aid of their counselors upon its return.

Do you have a doctor in camp?
We have a doctor and three registered nurses during each session. Our infirmary is staffed twenty four hours per day.

Are campers put into bunks by age or grade?
Campers are usually grouped in cabins by grade. Sometimes parents will request a placement by age. If your child wants to bunk with friends, we almost always are able to work it out.
Any out of camp trips?

Children leave camp to compete in intercamp games or special events such as a day trip to Camelbeach, Dorney Park, whitewater rafting, ice skating, bowling, minor league baseball games.

Do campers need extra money?
Canteen is provided free of charge each day. A small amount of spending money is recommended for other incidentals.

Where do campers come from?
All over. We have large groups of children from the New York metropolitan area, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, Florida, and California, but don't be surprised if you have a bunk mate from London, Paris, Madrid or Singapore.

CAMP FACILITIES: We rent out the Upper School of the Renaissance Academy Charter School. We use the gym, Cafe, 2-4 classrooms, and the grounds outside of the school. We also have access to the nature trail of the Charlestown Park and University of Valley Forge campus.

CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Galil is set in the beautiful fields and forests of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, about one hour from both Philadelphia, New York City, and most New Jersey addresses.
